About this Role:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Partnerships & Talent Acquisition, the Manager, Talent Acquisition plays a key role in attracting, engaging, and welcoming top talent to BCAA. This role blends people leadership with hands-on recruitment delivery, leading a high-performing team of Talent Acquisition Specialists while supporting a designated portfolio of client groups and driving the day-to-day execution of hiring strategies and programs.
The Manager will shape and execute talent acquisition strategies, strengthen BCAA’s employer brand and candidate experience, and partner closely with People & Culture and business leaders to deliver timely, inclusive, and high-quality hiring outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
Team leadership and coaching
Full-cycle recruitment delivery
Workforce planning
Pipeline development and internal mobility
Process improvement and governance
Vendor management
Cross-functional collaboration to advance BCAA’s broader talent strategy
About the Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a people-centered talent acquisition leader with 7+ years of progressive recruitment experience, including at least two years in a leadership capacity, and a proven track record of building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments. Equally comfortable operating strategically and tactically, they balance hands-on recruitment delivery with program ownership, partnering credibly with leaders to translate business needs into practical, results-driven talent strategies. Data-informed and outcomes-focused, they leverage metrics and insights to continuously improve hiring quality, consistency, and impact.
Passionate about inclusive hiring and creating exceptional candidate and employee experiences, they bring curiosity and a forward-thinking mindset toward emerging recruitment trends, technology, and AI. Adaptable and resilient, they navigate change with sound judgment and professionalism. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with experience in Workday, unionized environments, modern recruitment technologies, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office considered assets.
This is a hybrid position, based at our client’s head office in Burnaby, BC. The successful candidate is expected to work on-site three days per week.
Compensation & Benefits:
This role comes with a competitive base salary in the range of CAD $110,000–125,000, along with a performance bonus, flexible benefits and extended health, 4 weeks of paid vacation, work away program, pension program, and a health or wellness spending account.
